Theword Statement of Faith

1.     We believe in one God, eternally existing inthree persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the sovereign Creator and Ruler of all thingsand worthy alone of worship. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40:12-17; Matthew 3:16-17)

2.    We believe in God the Father, and infinite being, perfect in wisdom, holiness, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself with the affairs of man mercifully and hears and answers prayers and saves all from sin and eternal death to all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 103:6-14; John 16:23-27;Ephesians 1:3)

3.    We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is true God and true Man, possessing the attributes and nature of both God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 24:1-9; John 1:1; Philippians 2:5-11)

4.    We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, and is fully God. (Matthew 28:19; John 3:5-7; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 6:11, 19; Ephesians 3:16; 5:18-20)

5.    We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God, inerrant in the original language, the complete revelation of God, the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak.(Psalm 19:7-8, 119:9; Romans 15:4; II Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:21-25; II Peter 1:19-21)

6.    We believe God created human beings both male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We believe that man, because of the sin of Adam, is a sinner by nature and choice, and is therefore spiritually dead and in need of salvation, having no remedy other than faith and belief in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3)

7.    We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that this salvation from sin and death is based on the sovereign grace of God which was purchase by the death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus and is freely given to all who, by trusting in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. (Isaiah 53:4-12; John 1:12, 3:3-7, 14-18, 5:24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Colossians 1:19-20; I Timothy 1:15, 2:5; Titus 3:4-7)

8.    We believe that the Church is the invisible and spiritual body of which Christ Jesus is the head. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
