When Access Christian was first developed it was started as a business by two friends with a vision to make enough money to support themselves and their families. Of course at the time Ernest wasn't married, just hopeful. As Access Christian grew, both Eddie and Ernest felt it should not be a for profit business, but a ministry to Christians.
Access Christian went through even more changes and became what it is now. Unfortunately, both Eddie and Ernest had other things to take care of, like family, ministry and work. Ernest moved from California, where Access Christian was founded, to Texas. Eddie stayed in California and became a Youth Pastor in a local church. Ernest left his church after six years as the Senior Pastor of the Community Church of Devore. Both Eddie and Ernest still kept up with Access Christian, but soon it was becoming to hard to keep up with. They decided to let it go and keep a few things, the things you now see at Access Christian. The Roommate Finder has and always been a staple of Access Christian, so they decided to leave it as the center of focus for the site.
Soon Ernest had went back to the Army Reserves and in 2007 went back on active duty. Eddie continued to minister to the youth of his church and often preaching from the pulpit on Sundays. God had led Eddie to a closer and more committed walk with Jesus and soon he was very involved with the ministry that Access Christian had to take a back seat to ministering to the youth of his church. Ernest had to focus on training soldiers and taking care of his growing family. Both Eddie and Ernest are committed to keep Access Christian going and discovering what Jesus has in store for it. They ask that you would continue to come by and being a part of Access Christian and being patient with its growth.
